Plastic tubing with surface resistance in excess of 10^13 ohms has two antistatic methods. One way is to introduce static electricity into the material so that it can be moved to the surface, where its hydrophilic branches will have an antistatic effect, reducing the surface resistance. At this time, air humidity is an important influence value (greater than 40%). Over time, the effect of such antistatic measures will weaken. The best internal doping is to add special carbon black with good conductivity, but the amount must be above 15%, such addition amount will greatly reduce the mechanical strength of the material.

Another method is to add the antistatic material to the surface of the pipe. This is not a good idea; Because it doesn't last. By adding conductive ink or coating with conductive paint, polyolefin tubes can achieve particularly good results. However, the tube must be processed by corona discharge in advance to make the inert polyolefin surface have good adhesion to the ink.

There are some plastic tubes on the market, is to take another method, it is difficult to burn in addition to the property, antistatic effect is also very good, this method is a hard combustible PVC pipe with conductive soft PVC thin layer. There are also other methods, such as using special methods to add metal coating on the plastic pipe.
